Kiss Me Kate Auditions

Auditions for Kiss Me Kate will be held on Saturday, December 12th from 10 to noon in the Alumni Hall Theatre.

Spring Musical Announced

Fr. Mark David has announced that the spring musical for 2010 will be the hit Cole Porter show Kiss Me Kate. The musical is based on Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew. The show is scheduled to be performed on March 19 and 20 at 7:30 and March 21 at 2.

Fall Drama Announced

Fr. Mark David has announced that the fall drama for 2009 will be the murder mystery Rehearsal for Murder by D.D. Brooke. A famous actress has committed suicide after the opening night of a new play on Broadway. But her fiance is not convinced that she did not have help. The play will be performed on November 14th at 7:30 and November 15th at 2.

Mr. Nease Retires

Mr. David Nease, one of the founding members of the Fine Arts Department of St. Francis High School and the first Director of Fine Arts, officially retired from teaching after 39 years of faithful service to the school. The Fine Arts Department wishes to thank him for his many years of tremendous leadership and we wish him well in his retirement.
